Whom to Blame: Is it users of SEO tools or is it Search Engines?
I admit. Prior to learning about SEO applications and Web promotion industry, I considered that Google was cool. I Googled everything from people, to photography, to news to odd objects and heedlessly trusted the findings. Then I found out about SEO tools and a separate industry revolving around Web promotion, and my beliefs changed. But even before that, having done a bit of introspective analysis, I got an inkling that search engines, Google to boot, know far from everything, and reveal to the web community a tiny portion of what they know.
My search experiences soon convinced me that Flikr is a better image data bank, that with the assistance of feeds I can have quality current events stories without having to rummage through Google search retrieval (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and people search is best administered by Facebook. It seems like when I search for obscure objects on Google, the results are often messy, to put it mildly. Try Googling for SEO programs and other SEO connected topics on Google and you are almost prepared to surrender your self-control. I mean, tell me, what’s the connection between SEO apps and online education webpages or Internet casinos? Thanfully, in my frustrations.
So when news of free link building software and the whole field built around it entered my modest worldview, my doubts about domains landing on page one of Google increased virally. Do they deserve to be there and who is to blame, Google or webmasters using SEO apps. The ethical dilemma is immense. Do I quit using my SEO keyword ranking tool or do I quit using Google instead? I concluded that I can’t turn away from Google just yet. At least not till the decent rival enters the game. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will keep using my SEO programs.
To be honest, SEO applications is the reason why people like me get found on the net. intelligent as they are, Google web bots are not likely to find some little person and rank his website well. In this regard, I still am a strong admirer of SEO applications and organic search. If it was all about the money, the corporate giants would destroy me before I knew it. And there are up to one thousand companies on the Fortune roll! But here is something else that annoys me and other backlinks checker users, I am certain. There are individuals who purchase SEO products and use them to sell beddingon online education sites and the like. What we are given is litter that not only lives on the web but is also highly ranked by Google.
What is the user reaction to this? They Google SEO app reviews and will instead find unrelated SERPs. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet justice”. Does this imply that SEO product and service field is bad? Probably not.
The unethical users of SEO software need to stop corrupting the Web but it’s like ordering hackers to stop hacking. The sad side about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the opportunity to be noticeable on the Net that is available to the random person like me. For now we just have to be patient with them. We can only wish that Google will put more emphasis on catching the schemers abusing SEO apps, and if Google doesn’t, the next search engine will.
